This Page includes a big long list of all the Mac software I use all the time, and includes costs and a brief description. this page is editorial in nature.
An excellent color scheme manager and creator. This program allows you to generate color schemes and save them as files. I usually put them in with the projects. In addition, the program gives you options on several formats to preview and copy the color scheme to your site depending on what you need to do. A great program for anyone who works with colors.
A small program made for a single task: capturing web pages. Simply type in a url, set the resolution and a few essential options, and capture. You will come out with an image of the entire page. Unfortunately, this only uses webkit so you can't capture multiple times using different rendering engines.
PHP Studio is a program made for writing php code. I mainly use it for large projects where I have to juggle a lot of classes and functions. One of the best editors when it comes to writing web applications in PHP.
A wonderful and versitile text editor. It's main feature is collaberation. Live collaberative text editing can speed up some projects greatly. However, it isn't the best editor if you have to work alone all the time.
Simply my favorite HTML editor. It includes both HTML and PHP Syntax coloring and checking. The project view is the best I've sen of any editor and the options are as advanced as many I've seen on some of the more expensive programs. The price is right to just have if you need to open up an HTML or PHP file on occasion.
The greatest FTP client money can buy. Seriously, ask anyone who uses FTP on a regular basis and 99 out of 100 will tell you they use and enjoy using Transmit. I've heard it being quoted as "about as perfect as software can get." Buy it and you won't regret spending the money.
A great CSS debugger. This program shows you the website preview, the CSS file, and highlighting you select and allows live changes to the CSS to see what you change. Not a good program to use when writing a CSS file from scratch (unless you're just learning), but invaluable when something goes wrong and you just can't seem to find the problem. This program has saved me hours of work on several occasions
